Guns & Guts / Las viboras cambian de piel (René Cardona Jr., 1974)

It’s not a particularly good movie, compared to most American westerns from the period it’s below par, but as a low-budget, post-Leone, post-Peckinpah movie I found it somehow interesting. And this bloodbath near the end isn’t bad.

I had been avoiding this one for years because a few of the samples I had seen weren’t that promising. What can I say now that I finished it? Well, the whole thing just sucks, I had quite a rough time to get to the end. Lots of inept fist-fighting just to fill the time. The dialogue was cheesy to say the least. The Peckinpah-style massacre wasn’t that bad indeed, however the bleak ending felt somehow unfitting.
