It’s official @Admin, I’m a complete sucker and definitely will be including this in a future trade package with my friend Jeff in the Netherlands, even if only to see how the film sounds in French.
bear in mind though that this might be pretty much identical to the Arrow release aside from some minor details
I did notice that in the details section of the release, I’m making a fair guess that Plaion (Koch Media) made an agreement with Arrow Video. I have to admit I made the decision to collect the entire 10 release line, something I normally don’t do, but I fell in love with how they’re doing the line.
Yeah, I’m kinda torn on this too. They do look lovely, but I’m more than happy with my Arrow version of this. And considering they aren’t exactly cheap, what with being an exclusive and the steep shipping costs. The first two were must haves for me though, despite all that, as the previous versions I had of them were both DVD, so I considered them worthwhile upgrades (and they definitely were). I already have the previous Explosive Media Death Rides a Horse blu ray too, so I have yet to splash for that one either.
For some reason, when I first saw Robert Hossein there I thought it was Leonard Mann and briefly got excited that we were getting The Forgotten Pistolero - god, if they do that one they’ve got my money for sure.
There are so many movies that deserve such a great release. Blindman, Face to Face, Red Sun, etc. I think it’s really unfortunate that they picked these movies. California was a good pick, but that one is without English subtitles.

Hmmm this one is indeed a bit disappointing. I already own the Arrow version which is very good.
I’ll probably still buy it otherwise the collection won’t be complete (I already own the first 3 in the catalog) and it would look stupid on the shelf.
