Yes, a solid actor (I wouldn’t say great - he rarely had much more than a villainous supporting part, so we don’t know much about his versatility) with a fantastic face.
I first noticed him as the father of the twisted little girl in Argento’s Deep Red, and of course he’s a memorable villain in numerous SWs.
Never actually saw that he was the father in Deep Red! Now I remember!
He’s got a very memorable face. You recognize him instantly in whatever film he’s in.
