Forgot the name of movie!

hi folks!!!

it makes me crazy not being able to remember the name of a spaghetti western. it deals about a woman which posseses a house and a river is nearby where cows drink its water. the protagonist (also forgot who that was) helps her to get a contract to buy that land to bring peace between two families which argue about it.

Sounds after “The Big Country” for me. But it’s a US Western not a SW. The Protagonist would have been Gregory Peck!

sounds a bit like " wild river" with montgomery clift and lee remick although that wasn’t a SW ???
