FISTAV (The International Federation of Trade Unions of Audio-Visual Workers) boycott of Spain 1975

Finnish (non spaghetti film) actor Antti Litja died few days ago. After reading information of making of Risto Jarva’s 1976 film Loma (english title “Olympian holiday” and another english title “The Vacation”) there were information that may have also influenced in making of spaghetti westerns.

The film Loma was meant to filmed in Canary islands in Spain:

"
From the Canary Islands to Rhodes

Originally, the film was going to be set on the Canary Islands but due to a boycott of the islands by FISTAV, the filmmakers international association in Franco’s Spain, the location was changed to Rhodes in Greece.
"

The International Federation of Trade Unions of Audio-Visual Workers was established in february.1975. That union decided to boycott Spain, where General Franco was still a dictator until his death 20th november 1975.

Did this boycot influence also to spaghetti westerns?

Maybe.

Get Mean was filmed on location in Spain in the spring of 1975,

The film was shot over a period of eight weeks, with most principal photography being done at the Elios Studios in Rome, where Corbucci had previously filmed Django.[2] The studio’s set was in dire need of repair, which made it easier for Castellari to film as they did not have to redress the sets.[5] The film was also shot on location at Lago di Camposecco.
