Supposedly (from what I’ve read), early talks were that it was going to be directed by Sam Peckinpah and possibly star Clint Eastwood…now THAT would have been a different movie.
It’s pretty funny how even nowadays a lot of women around my age (25) always hate westerns but when you talk about Clint Eastwood (or show them a picture of him) they say they love him. It has happened to me several times. I always thought Eastwood was kind of a man’s man but apparently I was wrong.
Not the case with Bronson though. Not at all. All women I’ve ever met -regardless of age- hate Bronson, except maybe my mom.
