if you can fit the file, but itâs not gonna be dvd video standard and wonât be played back in 1080p. letâs not get into that. if you have a chance, get the bluray, if itâs 400 bucks, donât

hehe for sure, but i only buy physical media to make my own rips lol⊠I donât think its practical to watch it directly from the disc in 2024⊠I have a feeling its gonna be a long time until a bluray version of the movie becomes accessible againâŠ
You never know, just in terms of years passed, all Bluray editions (US, Ger, France) are overdue for a re-issue

Just a random thing I noticed on re-watch: Linda Veras character ends up wearing the same shirt & skirt as Jolanda Modioâs âMariaâ by the end.
Just a bit of budget saving or something cut from the movie? Iâll let you guys decide 
Considering how she goes through 3 costume changes with barely any lines, Iâm going with the latter⊠I mean she gets her own hat-wig so she must have been important

That picture is Linda Veras isnât it? - this is the first time she is seen in the movie which I believe is the scene when the Lorenzo Robledo character is killed by Volonte. There are two cutaways to her observing. I think she smokes a cigarette in one of them. The next time we see her she is sitting next to Volonte and is now his mistress. And wearing different clothes. I canât remember if she is wearing Modioâs clothes in that scene.
There is no scene explaining who she is at all and her name is never mentioned - although they have gone to some trouble to dress her up for this scene, as you say and do her hair up etc. (Ponder - is this a missing Vertigo sub-plot in which Volonte dresses Veras up in the dead Modioâs clothes??)
In the same scene (Wallaceâs death) there is also an interestingly-attired bloke in a Derby hat who hands Volonte the gun with which he kills Robledo. Again, they have gone to some trouble to attire the bloke but he is in only this scene as far as I recall and not shown again.
A woman who seems to disappear from the movie is Lydia Alonso who plays Belle de Winter. They have gone to some trouble to show her plantation and introduce her to both Volonte and Milian but her brother rides off with Milianâs gang leaving her behind and she is not shown again.
The original version submitted to the Italian censor was 144m long.

If I am correct there is another scene where Linda Veras is bathing with Carole AndrĂ©. Volonte than became mad about her and âtookâ her as AndrĂ© mentions later to Milian (âsome men take what they wantâ).

That scene is not with Veras, that happens before Veras is first seen.
The woman bathing who is taken by Volonte is Jolinda Modio. I am not sure who the woman with her was but it was not Linda Veras (was it Carol Andre).

This is the interestingly garbed bloke who hands Volonte his gun. Donât think we ever see him again.

This is one of my favourite SWs but it is not very accessible/available for those of us whose first/only language is English.
I bought a BluRay version from an English vendor expecting it to have at least English subtitles but the film had Italian audio and only had Italian and Spanish subtitles.
In the end I had to resort to finding effectively the same version on YouTube and using YouTubeâs translate function on the sub-titles to get them into English. Why such devotion? Well it was the only film in the Top 20 that I still hadnât seen.
Given how difficult it is to see this one for those of us who are only English speakers it is quite remarkable that it has over 1,000 points on the list. How many more points would it have if it was as readily available in the UK, US, Australia etc as say Bullet for the General, Day of Anger or Death Rides a Horse (all of which are available in English on subscription channels).

btw. buying from an âEnglish vendorâ is not the same as buying a product that offers English language options. The SWDb is your buddy here, we list all possible release versions with languages options etc, and feel free to ask on the forums before spending your money somewhere on products that wont deliver what you expect.
The one I bought was the UK one further down the page you linked. The one from Eureka Entertainment.
It claims English subtitles but doesnât have them.
Thatâs odd, the OFDB entry, and OFDB is usually reliable for such things, says only Engl. subs, and nothing about Spanish or Italian ones, and the one who made the entry must have had the DVD.
And it is pretty unlikely that a label like Eureka releases without English subs.
Maybe you got a wrong disc?

I suspect a bootleg, maybe, Eureka doesnt publish a movie in Italian with no subtitles. See also this source.
Just checked it. It is a Cult Media DVD with exactly the same cover as the Eureka one on the SWDb page.
