Ennio Morricone's soundtrack "For A Few Dollars More"

Hi!

Is there ever going to be released a new and improved CD of “For A Few Dollars More”?
“A Fistful Of Dollars” and “The Good, The Bad And The Ugly” already have good CD releases by GDM. But FAFDM never got a proper CD release (not even by GDM http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAE383E10422DE5D7&feature=mh_lolz )… the one released by EMI only runs 17 min! It just buggles my mind why it havn’t been done yet!
What are the chances that we one day will get a longer and more faitful CD release of FAFDM?

From a danish spaghetti western fan

The GDM release to For A Few Dollars More has 22 tracks on, but is deleted I think now:

That release was getting picked of the shelves beacuase it sounded so amaturish. Tracks on the CD were literally taken from the movie.
You can hear the whole soundtrack on Youtube> http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAE383E10422DE5D7&feature=mh_lolz

Heres a review from Amazon.com of the FAFDM soundtrack released by GDM> http://www.amazon.com/Per-Qualche-Dollaro-Dollars-More/dp/B000CQXH66/ref=sr_1_10?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1331634014&sr=1-10

Some of the original source materials have been lost so we may never see any better for some tracks, makes sense as this CD is pretty old now. I like the CD myself, but everyones taste is different of course.

That is pretty sad… :frowning:
Now I can only hope that GDM (or someone else) will found better sound material some day :-\

It’s funny that GDM did such a great job with “Fistful” and “TGTB&TU”, but “For a Few” is a bit odd, with the movie tracks mixed in with the legit mixes. However, I think it does have pretty much everything you would need from the studio recordings. Maybe the problem is the score is just not long enough for a single CD by itself? I don’t know, it wouldn’t bother me if I had a 20 minute CD with just the proper mixes, but as long as I have them, I’m happy - especially if the GDM disc is out-of-print, I didn’t know that. I think the studio mixes on that disc sound very good (the movie tracks are not good at all)…although the full track to the gunfight at the end has NEVER been done right…
