English-friendly Day of Anger and the Specialists?

Hm. Sounds like Cultcine could just as well release the uncut version.

Yes. Scenes are missing from other Cultcine releases as I remember. And God Said To Cain, John The Bastard and What Am I Doing In The Middle Of The Revolution spring to mind of the top of my head.

If you are still looking for an English-friendly copy of The Specialist Cinema de Bizzare has a nice copy of itcinema-de-bizarre.com, the picture is good and it only has English subs though. I’m satisfied with my copy at least.

Looks superb.

I also recommend their copy of Garringo, which looks even better, I got some other SWs from there, but the others aren’t up to those standards.

Thanks for the tip. I already got the version from Cinecity, though. The pic quality was great and i think it´s the complete version. It started right in the middle of a scene, tough, or at least it felt that way, with the mexicans tossing one of the hippie youngsters into a pool of mud. But maybe that´s how it was cut from the beginning.
A lot of Spaghettis starts with this hasty feeling - in medias res to the extreme - , right in the middle of a camera movement or so.

I would cinema de bizarre over cinecity, which I think is overpriced.

Yeah, certainly. I wanted to buy Death Played a Flute on cinecity, they wanted me to pay 14 Euros!
Damn thieves!

I’ve seen two copies of it and both started that way, so I assume it is correct.

I´m glad to hear that. I don´t like to find out that the disc i´ve just bought, sometimes for a steep price, isn´t the complete version.
