That Bavaria Beer Commercial was Lee Van Cleef’s final acting job. It’s also better than 99% of the crap churned out of Hollywood today. Van Cleef died of a heart attack about two weeks after that commercial was shot. Although his cause of death was a heart attack, he was suffering from throat cancer at the time of his death. Even though he was sick, he still had that lean, mean look and he was still as quick as ever with the gunplay.
