[DVD] Latest and Upcoming Releases

Various German forums. E.g: http://forum.cinefacts.de/showthread.php?p=4975826

I don’t want to kiss and tell. I’ll just say I got the info from a VERY VERY reliable source!!
Wild east is coming out with a new and improved edition of their out of print IF YOU MEET SARTANA PRAY FOR YOUR DEATH DVD.

Its anamorphic widescreen (picture ratio error will be corrected), and even more additional special features.
Excellent news! I actually have the old release but it’ll be nice to have a copy in the correct aspect ratio with more special features…

I take it the aspect ratio will be the same, just anamorphic…

Well, what I mean is that to make the old disc appear correct on my TV screen, I have to fiddle around with the settings on my DVD Player. It’s not too big of a deal but it IS annoying…

Oh I see. I just adjust the picture directly on my tv, so not so a big deal for me. An anamorphic picture would still be nice though so let’s see what comes out of it.
From Black Hill Pictures in Germany comes Ein Stoßgebet für drei Kanonen aka Professionisti per un massacro aka Professionals for a Massacre

Comes October 16th AND with English dub.

Excellent!!! Some people of westernmovies.fr are very happy!!!

Wish I had that option on my TV but it’s too old for any such features…

i am the only one thinking that Koch Media Dvds are worth buying not only for their films but for their covers which are very stylish.

i think the new ones aren’t as great as the old ones

Stylish they may be but they sure do look like crap. I am buying them for the movies and will just have to live the covers

Anybody know when the new Koch Media discs will actually be ready for purchase?
I’ve sent Ulrich a couple of emails about this, but he hasn’t responded.

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

They are set for the 19th so probably around that date

Gracias, amigo!!!

Is Koch coming out with single, stand alone DVD’s from all their box sets?

If I recall correctly…this was asked and answered somewhere else in the forum.
The last time I was in contact with Ulrich Bruckner of Koch he told me that they did, indeed, plan on releasing the stand alone discs. However, those releases are a very…very…very low priority for the company; so, he has no idea when that will actually happen (it could likely be a couple of years away, in fact).

As with everything relating to SW releases…that could all change in the blink of an eye, though!

hahaha

I think it was I who asked! Forgive me for inquiring about this again, I’m just anxious for some up to the minute news regarding this. Thanks for the heads up.

although the sollima box kicks ass, i personally think single disc editions of all those films are a good idea, both commercially for koch, and also practically, if you think dvd shelves organized alphabetically etc… and the fact that not everybody might want the extra encylopedia or soundtrack cd etc…

Surely you jest. Do you honestly think any spaghetti western fan refrains from buying the box sets because he won’t be able to place it correctly on his shelf alphabetically ??? He will have the same trouble with all the other box sets that have come out (Sabata, Once Upon a Time in Italy etc.). If someone thinks like that he deserves never seeing the movies.

The Django box set costs 26.89 euro at www.temeon.de . That’s less per movie than what the new ones coming out are costing and you get a nice booklet AND a soundtrack cd as extras. Surely that price don’t scare anybody. In fact the box sets were cheaper when they came out than the single releases which were then priced at 15 euro. That simply cannot have frightened anybody, paying less for more.

I’m dazzled.

God damn, people should go out and buy all those Koch Media box sets they didn’t get around buying the first time around. Maybe there won’t go over a year before Koch Media releases their next batch of spaghetti westerns.

can you pay for the movies you purchase there using paypal? i couldn’t find this information on this site
