Corbucci's Django and Django Reinhardt

I was thinking about this the other day, being a guitarist and lover of Blues and Jazz from the 40s/50s I could not help but see a resemblance between the lone gunslinger and the gypsy jazz guitarist that to this day still is the most important jazz figure coming from Europe.

Django lost the function of his 4th and 5th finger in an accident when his home caught on fire. He suffered from severe injury and was told that he would never be able to play guitar again, yet he overcome his handicap and reached great stardom. What do you think?

He single-handedly (no pun intended) invented/revitalized popular Euro-music after WWII.

I agree!
