Charley One-Eye (Don Chaffey, 1973)

I watched Charley One Eye some aeons ago, it was ok, the story felt stretched to fill the 90 min. 6/10

Hah, alright maybe not then.

I saw that one two years ago or so. I was kind disappointed it didn’t make better use of his acting skills.

Vinegar Syndrome are releasing the uncut 107m version (or so they claim), 20m longer than the UK DVD (87m) and over 10m longer than the UK theatrical release (96m). Be greatful for a confirmation of this and whether it is region locked and some idea of the differences.

The edition smokes the UK one out of the water

I saw this on UK Amazon Prime a couple of years ago - it was the 84m version on the UK DVD. I thought it was tedious pretentious tosh and Roy Thinnes looked ridiculous as an Indian but I might be willing to give it another look in a much longer version.

Nice selection of screenshots
but be warned, there are ‘Spoilers’
major ones if you’ve never the this film before.

All we need to know is to get the US disc, not the UK disc. I hope the German release will replicate the US release

movie-censorship.com has a comparison of the Vinegar Syndrome Blu Ray to the Screenbound version.

All the extra footage is exposition, mainly extensions to existing scenes and doesn’t seem to add much.

Yeah I posted it three posts up, and indeed now they have an English translation too Charley One-Eye (Comparison: UK DVD (Odeon Entertainment) - Original cut (Vinegar Syndrome)) - Movie-Censorship.com
