[Blu-ray] Latest and Upcoming Releases 📀

Yes. Anything else would be a big surprise. They region-lock everything.

So yesterday’s Great Silence news was quite exciting. At least in Germany it seems we’re not looking at Studio Canal (what I expected), but Filmjuwelen/Fernsehjuwelen, some other studio distributed by Alive which from what I read, might be bringing the movie

X-Rated Kult Video will release a very first spaghetti western in its Eurocult Collection.

So from what I learned they will also release day of anger. Both based on made-for-TV HD-masters. I doubt that is the Cinematheque 4K kind of restoration then

In a Colt’s Shadow scheduled in June

days old  already in the database

Always wanted to see In A Colt’s Shadow, will buy this one, though I doubt it is great.

I will try adding some international Amazon links as soon as possible, as well

I’m not expecting any English-language options but Italian dub and German subs would be sweeeeeet

88 Films by the way just announced that they’ve acquired another spaghetti western for their Italian Collection line. No mention of title though but probably something already released either in Germany or the States.

There are two positive reviews of the Spanish single disc blu-ray of Dio perdona… io no! at https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B00JQN4I8M?ie=UTF8&tag=thespagwest01-21 (dated 2014 and 2015)

But… two reviewers of the dual disc set produced by same company in 2016 mention a faulty blu ray. Others say there’s no problem with it - must be a faulty print run. https://www.amazon.es/dp/B01IC0VJJ0/ref=pd_cp_74_3/254-7963500-7180917?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=0MV0T52784P2WJ87AYGW

I took a chance and ordered it and the blu ray wouldn’t play.
As you probably know, these come with no English dubs or subs.

The two dual disc Trinity sets (Le llamaban Trinidad & Le seguían llamando Trinidad) by the same company (Divisa HV) are a great improvement over the previous blu ray releases of these films. They have English dubs and Spanish subs.

According to the Digital Bits, Kino Lorber is going to release a Blu-ray of Death Rides a Horse.

Arrow mentioned a few months back (via Fran Simeoni’s Twitter) that they have some more spaghetti westerns coming later this year. Elsewhere it’s been confirmed (kind of) that a forthcoming wave of Fulci releases from Arrow (new and some improved re-releases) will include FOUR OF THE APOCALYPSE (apparently with a new 2K master). I’m not sure if that’s all we get on the spaghetti front from them, but hopefully there will be more.

Cool, looks good. I like Fulci’s efforts in the genre so hopefully it is his westerns we’re getting. I have the Arrow releases of Day of Anger and Cemetery Without Crosses and they’re two of the best DVD’s I have in my collection, hopefully I can add FOTA to them, and I wouldn’t complain about a Massacre Time release either.

Surprise announcement from 88 Films
