so when is THAT coming out on Bluay and will MGM USA then re-release that box set? who dont these clowns restore all three and release them all three⦠frustrating
So, just to clarify (sorry): THIS release, the āMan With No Name Trilogyā blu-ray set, released on June 2nd and retailing at Ā£24.75 in the UK, is actually the upcoming new TG,tB&tU blu-ray (plus any/all features that youād get if youād bought that blu-ray separately) plus the old blus of AFoD and FaFDM?
I donāt know whether to go for the steelbook blu of TG,tB&tUhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/The-With-Name-Trilogy-Blu-ray/dp/B00JQ8HTRY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1401361128 at Ā£19.99, or the Ā£24.75 trilogy. Even though Iāve got the old blus, the Ā£24.75 IS tempting just to keep them all looking āuniformā. Then again, if that new trilogy box is one that keeps all the discs together so they canāt be separated, then Iāll still need the standalone TG,tB&tU for when/if they release restored blus of AFoD and FaFDM.
Ah, first world problems. ;D

I wonder what the source is for those images as the last shot with Volonte and rifle makes the old Italian Blu look like 4K. And those colors are bullshit. ![]()
EDIT: And yes last.caress, the box will have the old shitty blus of AFOD and FAFDM.

Definitely first time. These are great news as this is a pretty good and pretty unknown film which now will (hopefully) get its deserved recognition.
An unexpected and big surprise.
Yes, very nice indeed.
Its about time there was a BD version of Giu La Testa released. This underrated classic needs more respect in my humble opinion.
Apart from the already released and announced Blus?
If there is a version of it on BD then I aint seen it.
Database doesnāt have any listings for Giu La Testa on blu or dvd, only the German vhs
I was an hour ago on the database site which lists the Italian Blu. And there is also a link to the DVDs on the filmās page.
Italian Blu was released on 5th of December 2013. Spanish Blu came out in 26th February 2014 and a German Blu will be out 6th of June.
James Finn from Fox has tweeted a US Blu-Ray will be coming this year.
I suspect they will all look the same as the Italian disc which means different than what youāve been used to. ![]()
The English track on the Italian Blu is slightly out of sync, donāt know about the Spanish one.
EDIT: Stanton could you or someone else who knows German tell me what does the message here Redirecting... mean, please? About the Hate Is My God release.
Well actually I understand most of it I think⦠that they will include both German theatrical version and English version and their print is 114 minutes (110min PAL) long (as far I know the longest currently available version is a combination of several different versions yet only around 95minutes so this will be much much longer). But they also mention the rights holders do no have an Italian soundtrack for the film and filmart is asking for help with that? But does the German and/or English audio cover the entire print?
please guys at any point info in the database is missing, let us know or enter it yourself
Oh, my apologies! I was thinking of the DB entry for Lāodio ĆØ il mio Dio when I was talking about Giu La Testa, my bad! :

Yet this yellowish tint is present on the Italian DVD of Once Upon a Time in the West extended cut, the BD of Once Upon a Time in America and now on this Cineteca di Bologna restoration (along with this 4K The Good, the Bad and the Ugly). The old blue āTechnicolorā look doesnāt seem to be supported by the Italians.
or this is just the latest fashion out of italy?
yellow seems to be the color of the summer

They donāt have Italian audio and are asking to help them finding it. They are also searching trailers of the film for the bonus material.
I wonder what language that 114 min version has. The German one should run 95 min (German versons of SWs are always cut), but the VHS version we have was much shorter. So the master must be an English version.
The fan version runs actually 104 min.
But as I have mentioned in this thread before Ripley Film has come out and said the colors of their restoration from ~2007 looks like the copies printed and distributed in 1964. And that looks nothing like this new restoration.
I believe them until proven otherwise. ![]()
And if I have to choose between this https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xfp1/t31.0-8/10295469_10152562949983132_7369661714130743229_o.jpg and http://www.spaghettiwesterndvds.com/screenshots/a_fistful_of_dollars-rhv-bluray-0h14m32s1920.jpg
I will go with the latter. But obviously just my opinion.
And I do believe GBU was supposed to be yellowish/golden. I just canāt believe Leone wanted it to look like this (the TEAL & orange version you get when you move mouse over the imageā¦): http://www.caps-a-holic.com/hd_vergleiche/multi_comparison.php?disc1=4088&disc2=4091&cap1=37973&cap2=38021&art=full&image=14&hd_multiID=1687&action=1&lossless=#vergleich

The Mondo disc is yellow. The new restoration goes so far that a lot of it turns into green/teal.

And thanks Stanton, I guess weāll have to wait and see (hear). :o
