[Blu-ray] Latest and Upcoming Releases šŸ“€

Just had a look at the subtitles for the Italian portions of TBG, and looks like there may be 4 or 5 scenes actually. I’m not sure though, as it would depend on how long the scenes run and if there is a break in dialouge during the scenes. Would have to watch the movie again to be sure.

I cannot wait for this one. I just preordered it. I’m really looking foward to the soundtrack and the features, especially the Milian interview.

Well if there’s two films on blurays, what’s on the dvd? Special features?

Probably. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh great. Just great. Me, the one guy without a blu-ray player. :-\
Hmm. So two possibilities from the looks of it:

  1. They really do have a complete version with all english audio (taking the sound from the 16mm TV print)

OR

  1. They have two versions of the film, one for each BD, one being the uncut complete version in Italian with Eng. Subs AND
a shorter but all English version ( because of the 3 additional scenes discovered scenes, this version will be longer than previous english versions but still shorter than the complete Italian version)

Is it 1 or 2?
It’s # 2:

Any word yet on whether this is going to Region A-locked or Region Free (I hope it’s the latter, otherwise I’ll have to still go for the expensive Explosive Media release).

The explosive release is much cheaper at €20.99 opposed to $39.99.

I doubt that I will ever pay that much for a film. Especially not for a film I already know.

This is not a film I must have, and at the moment I’m more than satisfied with the version which was in Koch’s Sollima box.

Thanks - although I have a feeling the Grindhouse release would be cheaper to import.

Not a guy but I don’t have one either

15 minutes of extra action on the new blue ray release for BIG GUNDOWN what 15 minutes??
please someone can post some pics??

Even if I’m wrong and the dvd has a copy of whatever cut it is, I’m not dropping forty bucks for that and a cd. And all those bonus features down the tube… :stuck_out_tongue:

I think if you pop this BluRay baby in an hit play you will forget what you just said.

When I hit play on the Explosive release for the first time, my heart almost stopped, and the Grindhouse release will probably be even better. The sound, the image… on that movie… just amazing

Here in the states, €20.99 works out to $29… then add at least $10 for international shipping and you’re right back up at $40

I’m a cheap(read: poor) guy and don’t like spending a lot for discs, but this is at least a worthy release, and gotta support a US company doing such an excellent release of a spaghetti when no company ever comes close to this, here.

Plus, when I remember I just spent $20 to watch a film once at the cinema, it doesn’t seem so expensive any more

Here Here!

Sartana1968, how can anybody post pics, its not even out yet?

40 bucks isn’t so bad considering what you’re getting. I remember doing alot worse spending 50 bucks on those Japanese SPO releases (remember those?), and those were just single layer DVDs. Here we are getting two BD, one DVD, one CD and booklet. Sometimes it pays to spend the extra money on something thats actually worth it. This is the release that us SW fans in North America have all been fucking waiting for for the last 10 fucking years!

If the film is shit or lacks special features or has bad quality by all means keep your money, but at least be willing to spend it on something thats actually fucking good!! I owned the Explosive blu ray but sold it as soon as I found out that this was coming out. On the explosive disc, the improvement in picture quality over the DVD version was fucking mind boggling.

I spent close to $40 on the 40th anniversary blu ray of Enter the Dragon recently and it was one of the best purchases of my life.

With releases such as this, thats what owning Blu Ray is all about daddy!!

I wonder if the interviews are just a rehash of the explosive interviews?

I was wondering this also. Was kinda thinking it may just be basically the same release, only English friendly on all the special features/booklet.

But its hard to say. I’m sure some of the features will be the same, maybe a couple different.
