Iām curious if Kino Lorberās Django Shoots First has been delayed. It had a 8-18 street date but it never came up for pre-order on amazon (itās on amazon now, but only through third party sellers). Because it wasnāt on amazon, I pre-ordered it from Kino directly but it hasnāt shipped yet (when Iāve pre-ordered from kino direct before, they always shipped before āstreet dateā so they arrived on release date)

Arrived today. Popped it in briefly, looks fantastic. SDR only. English audio sounds decent. Will give it a proper watch soon 
oh snap, boooooā¦ ok, corrected it in the database, but then the info on the back cover is wrong? it says HDR there
Thatās what I was thinking. I think itās just the default 4K promo banner they have used.
I donāt have a way of capturing proper images, but here are a few taken with my phone. It looks really lovely. Colours pop nicely even without any HDR. Havenāt really noticed any dirt/dust in the image. Plenty of grain and it seems to be encoded very well. English audio is nice and clear. I briefly sampled the Italian audio which sounds excellent - crisp and clear. I think it sounds a good bit better than the English, so I have switched to that for my viewing.
but itās not maybe an issue with your player or anything?
I donāt believe so. I just checked the 2 Eurocrime 4Ks that came out last month from them, and they also have the same label on the back despite both being SDR.
So maybe thereās no different between blu-ray and 4K if itās SDR ??
Greater number of pixels but to my eyes I usually canāt tell personally.
Aside from a huge resolution difference and less compression, probably not to the average eye if your player or TV upscales nicely. Zero difference if youāre not watching on a 4K screen in the first place
Mannaja is coming, there was an update from the label that the restoration is done and it is entering production
Great news. Although if they have only just received the restoration I imagine it wonāt be arriving by the end of September lol.
I donāt know much about Bluray production, but if all else was ready to go, it may still be ready to ship in a month?

I would really like to know if any of the Django Shoots First releases have the song on the front.
The VHS I got back in the 80s had English Language lyrics sung over the opening music. Since then, there was an English DVD released with Italian dialogue and subtitles (Yeah I know, English release subtitled - Weird no), but the song was not there, just the instrumental. So I just wonder if any version has the song back on.
