Despite the official release date being on 11th August, I have just received my ‘Arrow’ Bluray copy of ‘The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly’ from Royal Mail - and it looks absolutely bloody marvellous!
It was worth the delay in being released…the picture quality and audio are superlative in both the International and Extended versions.

The enclosed poster and booklet are to die for…as much as I adore the original film posters, the new art-work by Tony Stella is exemplary.

With hours of special features to sift through, I can’t wait to get stuck in…

The four picture galleries look interesting, as do the multitude of documentaries that cover all aspects of the film’s production; from the cinematography and editing, to the iconic soundtrack by Ennio Morricone. Edda del Orso is again featured, which is a welcome contribution from the ‘voice of an angel’.

It speaks volumes for the first-class pedigree of this iconic film, that many of us fell head over heels in love with it so many years ago - even though our first experience was pan and scanned, and cut for TV broadcasts.
Happy days…

Now, I just need to sit down and read the Joe Millard paperback novilisation of ‘GBU’. For those unfamiliar with it, it does help to fill in a few of the questions not answered in the film. For example, how does Setenza (Angel Eyes) come to end up at the ‘Betterville’ prison camp?
If you can get hold of a copy, it’s worth checking out…

Once again, ‘Arrow’ has delivered the goods in a style totally befitting the the Dollars’ Trilogy.

I sincerely hope that other amigos get their copies sooner, rather than later…I don’t think that they will be disappointed. :cowboy_hat_face:

FNAC lists these for November now, not sure if October is still valid. Not showing up on Amazon yet.

My copy of TGTBTU has been despatched by Arrow and should be arriving in the next couple of days. So also ‘early’.

Some more calendar updates August thru November… maybe more to come, but enough for today

The non-limited edition re-issues are starting to pop up on Amazon as well, I found FAFDM and GBU there already and put the links in

Hope Radiance will do more zapata westerns down the road. Cemetery Without Crosses in 4K? That would be awesome.
