Personally I prefer parmigiano reggiano

As long it is pasta we are all good!!! A Fistful of Pasta :yum:

Got an itch to check one of the German film news sites, and found this

https://bluray-disc.de/blu-ray-filme/110293-gott_vergibt_django_nie

The only downside for the moment is that the release doesn’t look English friendly

Also wonder if this is in any way different from the already existing release from Tobis/Universum of the same movie or perhaps just the same with a new cover.

that is an outdated listing if you ask me. I check that site every day (films > recently added) and they often add stuff when a solid rumor pops up or it becomes clear that it ā€œwill likely be releasedā€ but often they never updated it again. Judging by the comments to that entry, it’s over 3 years old. So I’d ignore it. I mean, it will likely be re-released in Germany at some point of course, but it’s not that specific listing … not to mention that the companies they’re listing there are no longer operating as such (Universum Film)

I’m surprised by that. But, ok, well that makes it worth getting.

The UK DVD I had, and now also the Australian blu ray that I replaced it with both only had Italian with subs, and I see that the recent Japanese one also had only Italian audio, so I was beginning to think there was not an English dub for this one.

Although looking now I see a couple of the older DVDs in the database may have had it - Dorado films and the French one.

Getting these exclusives from Plaion though is a bitch, and because of the overseas postage I’m only really happy to do it when there are more than one that I want. Maybe I’ll see what the others in the line are first, as there are only 4 more to come (I believe), and then just pay once for shipping instead of multiple times.

I first watched ā€˜Django Shoots First’ with the Italian audio and English subs, … when the Dorado version came out, I was curious to hear the English audio track, but it was disappointing because the usual voice artist for Fernando Sancho (who is brilliant) didn’t do this one, and it put me right off.

So, perhaps if you’re already familiar with the Italian version, I’d suggest sticking with it, as you’re not missing anything

Yeah, I am happy with the Italian one tbh.

Hellbenders French release now listed as expected, pretty sure all StudioCanal stuff from Japan/Germany will follow…

Also very exciting, I know it has a reputation for being awful (and I don’t doubt that at all :joy:) but I still really want to see it. Hope it’s English friendly!

wouldn’t get my hopes up because a) it’s a studiocanal license and b) it’s gonna be at Mediacs

It is pretty bad. I liked some of the music though.

I hope it will contain the initial dialogue with William Berger?
My old VHS tape is missing that part
