I must admit I hadn’t seen the Ringo films before they got the Blu Ray treatment, but from what I saw the colors appeared perfectly fine with no pink tinge, but this might be because the TVs in me and my parents two homes are the basic models, not anything too ultra high end. I get what you’re saying though in keeping a print in tact and spared any damage; we all have our nit-pickings on releases.

It’s very much a subjective thing … but for me it’s quite a common issue with BDs, not all … but the cooler colours just aren’t there, the blues and greens.

Have a look at the trailer and you’ll see the difference

I just looked at two trailers for the first Ringo film and the only differences my eye caught was the trailer had a little age and slightly lighter sepia color while the Blu Ray has sharper detail and vibrant color. Again, this is what my eye caught.

Thanks for indulging me anyway. As I said it is subjective, and some of us see a little differently … maybe I’m colour blind !!! LOL

I remember when people were comparing the Mill Creek The Grand Duel to the Arrow release saying the Mill Creek looked better.

I don’t have the blue underground one but that is only a DVD so probably not as good.

Yeah, so much is subjective when it comes to what pleases the eye with PQ, also at times it is how you are used to watching the movie…for example(not a SW obviously) but I much prefer the color timing on the 2007 Halloween disc compared to the 35th anniversary edition. It is brighter and with more lush colors…closer to how I always watched it on DVD.

I still have my Anchor Bay 25th anniversary dvd. The recent blu ray got passed on. I could not tell the difference.
