Bastard, Go and Kill / Chaco / Bastardo … vamos a matar (Luigi Mangini, 1971)

This movie’s page in the SWDb has been updated to the new layout. Please inform us of any changes that need to be made and submit texts, links, reviews or pictures, thanks.

I just watched this one again.
If someone could update the main page: Bastardo, vamos a matar

At least some of the “filming location” was set at Elios Film Studios

Thanks,

Are there any characters in SW as useless as Burt in this movie?

Spoilers:

He gets introduced as someone who is apparently very useful and a part of some plan. Then he has one more scene when he looks at a farm and evaluates its value. Then he gets shot easily by a villain in his third scene

Was there something cut from the movie? Has the director lost the bet with the actor? Does anybody on the forum know?

This movie was one of the worst SW’s I have ever seen!

Now you catch my interest. I’ll have to get this bloody one… :face_savoring_food:

It ain’t that bad, though obviously it isn’t that good either.

Agreed … It’s not a complete disaster nor is it a hidden gem. As we say here, ‘For completists only’.

Yeah, pretty much. A see-it-and-forget-it type of flick. I cannot remember much about it other than that it wasn’t too painful.

In honour of the man himself, George Eastman, I gave this one a first watch last night.

Struggled. Wasn’t a huge fan of Eastman in the light-hearted, comedic Mexican role and I think the entire film took a while to get into gear properly. Plot seemed a little convoluted and messy towards the end too.

Nice enough setting, but that’s about it. Wouldn’t be in a hurry to watch this again.
