Anybody know where you can download the soundeffects from the films?

I was thinking of making a soundmod for the game call of juarez using the old pistol and rifle sound-effects from the spaghetti western movies…

anyone know where one could download them? (surely they must not be copyrighted any more)

noone? hmm… thats disconcerting

I’m afraid you’ll have to rip them from the movies yourself. By the way, there are copyrights involved. But I doubt anyone will notice where you got a particular gunshot effect. Besides that, no one is going to care.

dang… well… dont know how to rip it from the movies really… so ill give it a miss i guess…

oh and i just found one sound that sounded like the ones in the movies and unfortunately it sounded like crap when it played in slow-motion (wich it does at times in the game) so i dont think ill make that mod after all…

I downloaded gunshots here:

Does anyone know if this is legit?

You gotta be kidding me 3 bucks for a gunshot sound?
Get a free program to rip audio from youtube videos and get your effects from there. That’s what I do for my movie.

Do you know if anyone owns the rights to the sound?

Well, I bet you 10 to 1 that those guys that will charge you $3 don´t own it and just pretend they do. If you´re going to use a gunshot sound of some old spaghetti western, nobody will know where you got it. Wy don´t you just do that?

That would probably be better. What program do you use?
