May God Forgive You … But I Won’t / Chiedi perdono a Dio … non a me (Vincenzo Musolino, 1968)

Now that this film is announced by Koch for the near future, we surely will all get it with the long intro.

Nice review. I still think it’s far from one of the most brutally violent. Sure, it does have torture, a mouth shooting scene (), rather bloody fist fights and a high kill count but not one of the most violent.

Great review !
I like this one,Ardisson could have done a few SW more

Saw this movie recently, the ‘CG version’ which is a nice looking print

Didn’t like the film though

To me it was very annoying for two reasons

It had some music from that old Bond movie Goldfinger (!) popping up regularly which was a pain in the ass ::slight_smile:

And I just found George Ardisson unsuitable to be a SW leading man, somehow he just looked too slick and ‘modern’ for a western setting

Apart from this it was probably an ok movie, I just couldn’t enjoy it

Does anyone know which DVD the English trailer for this movie comes from?
Thanks in advance.

^ thats my favourite scene.

Really enjoyed the movie. spoilers Ghidras a great bad guy, i was hoping he’d survive in the end and kill Cjamango.

I liked this. It really went against what I was expecting at the time. All I had seen from Hill was the more comedic stuff, so this was a bit of a surprise.

Very similar titles but this isn’t God Forgives I Don’t.

Same year too. Confusing but no, it’s not the Hill-Spencer film.

In that case I haven’t seen it.

It’s a decent film, pretty standard SW with a classic revenge theme and Pedro Sanchez as bounty hunter :D.

Please can a Deputy who can merge topics do the magic with this film as we appear to have a few threads on this one, thanks  :

How about now?

Feeling much better now, thanks Dr. Phil

Perfect Phil ! …job well done  .

Since Phil has merged these threads it is alot easier to see the different views on this one.

Really enjoyed this one on my first viewing, and enjoyed even more on the viewing tonight. Short and simple film. The sort of one which would appeal to me if I would have been directing a Spaghetti in the 60’s. Nice cast and think the action is well done, even if no horses die in the end scene. Ardisson often looks pissed off and like his modern style of dress. Watched plenty of westerns since first viewing this and some scenes remained in my head. The Reverend sums things up for me on page one of this thread.

Time for a rewatch - I remember it fondly, even tho’ it’s been a while - I can still can picture that horse having a dump tho’ - great scene!

I will treat you Reverend. Have a better version for you to view, so do not view just yet  .
