What Film Are You Watching Tonight?

My Name is Nobody.

But to make you maybe feel miserable again, Wellman’s “Yellow Sky” is the better film for me, it is actually a personal favourite of mine. Wellman was a pretty interesting western director.

Another excellent 40s western for sure.

‘Adios, Sabata’, aka ‘Indio Black’ (1970)

Garish, entertaining, and a thoroughly engaging adventure yarn…featuring Yul Brynner wearing a pre-‘Village People’ outfit.
Great fun, with a rousing score by Bruno Nicolai.

All About Eve - second screening last night.
Still some of the sharpest, most scintillating dialogue on film.

No misery yet, as you’ve just reminded me to rewatch it and check out the Kino blu-ray commentary.

A Sherlock Holmes double-bill.

First, one of Billy Wilder’s best films…

Followed by Christopher Plummer portraying the legendary Victorian sleuth…

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly as a date night movie. I’ll be introducing it to a guy who’s never seen it, but is a movie nerd like myself.

Has he been living in a cave ???

Maybe a cave on Mars!

I am in the middle of watching TGTBATU again and have been slagged for quoting some of the lines before they come up on the movie🤠

Don’t we all occasionally do it?

Lol  A cultural cave, definitely. Although, he told me his favorite band is The Kinks. So, that scored some points with me :sunglasses:.

Yes … he’s gone up in my estimation too

So, what did he think of the movie? Did he like it so therefore earned another date night or has he been kicked to the curb?

Lol. He definitely liked it. I’ll just say he has the next pick as far as what movie we’ll be watching next :sunglasses:.

Tonight it will be a tribute to David Soul, who has just passed away, aged 80.

First, the excellent pilot episode of ‘Starsky & Hutch’ (1975); followed by Clint Eastwood’s 'Magnum Force’ (1973), starring David as the leader of a group of vigilante cops, that become judge, jury, and executioners.

Revisiting one of my favourites, which gets better on every viewing: The Ruthless Four. Starring @aldo’s favourite pencil moustached actor.

If only he could have made an appearance in, Shoot the Living and Pray for the Dead … that would have been bliss

He would’ve been the icing on the cake amongst the exhilarating, non-stop, wall to wall action in that film!
