Silence - Ikea? Beer. Likes to pick on Finns. Feels superior to Norway, hates Denmark. All blonde and beautiful. Spaced-out. No sense of humor.[/quote]
Don’t forget Abba and Volvo
I’d think we’re believed to be relatively shy and quiet?
I’ve heard many many stereotypes. Being a “Mrican”, were “all” descended from Europeans. A bit of my Euro blood tie stereotypes:
Swedish-Beautiful blonde women, like the dark and being alone (true and true fr me).
Dutch-all a bunch of cheap bastards (wish it were true for me :’()
French-stuck up jerks who smoke a lot (probably not entirely true. Certainley not me ::))
English - bad teeth, worse food, dark weather
Spanish cough Royalty cough. Not sure but nobody ever believes me when I tell them I am descended from Spanish royalty and that part is true. During the war between Holland and spain or something, a Dutch relative of mine married a Spanish Prince my family is the far removed result.
Then there’s the Poles and Russians (none of which I have any blood ties) all have skis or skys at the end of there name.
But the simplest stereotypes (not entirely true in order to protect myself as I’m not the one who made it up) would be three things you’ll never see:
an Italian war hero
English cook and
a Polish Nobel Prize winner.

So… uh… are you claimant to any title… a.k.a. vast properties and real estate? ;D
Yes, that’s very odd but I think you’re right. Hate is such a strong word though
In fact we (the media/politicians what ever) always compare the Danish society to the Swedish one whenever something is ‘rotten’ here (Look at what the Swedes are doing with good result etc.) So we kind of look at the way Sweden is put together as something to aspire to (minus the weak Swedish currency)… Do also notice how Denmark is slowly taking over sports that were Swedish trademarks in the past (Tennis, Tabletennis, Handball, Icehockey)… Don’t think that’s a coincidence for a minute
That’s not true, we only hate Norwegians and Swedes.
All in all its a exception i think.
With beef, pork, chicken and so on the offer of meat should be big enough, but some people gorge nearly anything…but i guess you could find them all over the world.
Maybe there are people among the tourists which ask for it,to claim that they did it ?
Here in Southwest Germany we have a lot of horse butchers
A girlfriend of mine who loves horses eats a meatball one day, unknowingly that its horse meat. She was not excited, when she was told ;D
All the Poles are drunken thieves according to the stereotypes, so excuse me while i go steal some tires from cars trying not to fall down because of my drunken state
