You know the drill by now troopers! Like the Official Spaghetti Western Top 20, it will be scored with #1 -25 points, #2 - 21 points, #3 -19 points, #4 - 17 points, etc, etc all the way down to #20 - 1 point!

All Westerns made in the United States from the dawn of cinema to today are eligible. Once we have around twenty five votes, I will draw up a points-based list and put it on the database, to be updated when needs must, to show users that if they love Spaghetti Westerns, these are the U.S. Westerns to watch! Actually the first 3 get in the SW list 25, 21 and 19 points. And then from 17 (for #4) down to 1.

But in the end it doesn’t make a great difference.

Question: Do mini TV-series count?

No. Films only. And only American Westerns too, so no Eurowesterns or “contempory” Westerns like Hud or No Country for Old Men or The Treasure of the Sierre Madre.

Very difficult to bring the list of favorite westerns down to 20
Another thing is that I would be able to pick one film and call it my favorite. Talking about the spaghetti western, there are (for me) two movies way above the rest, in relation to the Almerican western it’s not that easy.

This is my list of 20 favorites, in chronological order (those in maroon are the Top 10):

Awesome! I love all three: Paleface, Son of Paleface, and Fancy Pants. In Son of, Roy Rogers has a rifle hidden in his guitar that, if I recall correctly, he cocks by running his hand up and down the neck. Coolest thing ever.
