I hear a lot about you Europeans and your fantastic vacations to Spain and what not. And I just got back from a great but stressfull and ultimately uncomfortable vacation in the Cascades of Washington which reminded me a bit of The Specialist and the Pre Italian alps. Horseback riding specifically. It’s great. Riding for 4 hours up a mountain over a lake is beautfiul. I had a rather bossy horse named Tango. Part Arab so he’s fast. We [horses] were walking and at times, my horse saw a little space ahead and took off in brief trots which were at times scary. At first I would hold onto the horn but for fear of looking like a tin horn, I got into the groove of it somewhat and gave him a few kicks to get into a trot. But if you are an amatuer, it’ll smack your ass in the saddle hard and I’m walking like a mixture of John Wayne and Curly Howard. And it’s hard to sit. Moving right along, it was a blast but on the way down, I had to sit a bit like Anthony Steffen in Train for Durango. Very nostalgic. My horse did not want any horse to pass him so he would gove my Dad’s horse behind us an evil glance.
Silence is on vacation, how about you? What/where do you like to go?
Hey korano, glad you had a great vacation. Why stressful? Vacations should be relaxing. Riding horseback is hard on the inner leg and butt muscles if you don’t do it all the time. And I heard it’ll make your kids born naked if you’re not careful.
Stressful because we were constantly misplacing important things such as sun glasses, which caused me to almost get into an accident, misplacingnroom keys, car keys, and even the car itself.
My vacation was a disaster, I got an inflammation of both ears on the second day, so I spent most of the time indoors, enduring a lot of pain; it’s not over yet, so i’ll have to stay indoors most of te time during the next few days.
As long as your brain wasn’t damaged, then where would we be! :o We would never have the privelege to learn the Latin Roots of everything and it’s Italian/English, portugese/arabic/swahili/tongue translation.

Do you know any Afrikaans by any chance? ??? ;)[/quote]
Afrikaans should be a doddle for Scherps. It derives from Dutch, his mother tongue. What about Basque?
