Excellent choices that haven’t even been mentioned yet as far as I can tell.

Alessandroni’s El Puro score has only one nomination so far.

No Nora Orlandi score has more than one nomination.

Well everyone had a chance. That’s how nominations work. In the end, there’s only like 9 or so Oscar nominations, not 300

I find limiting it to 10 very hard and I’m sure I’ll change my mind the moment I press send, but here they are. It’s a tough category when Bruno Nicolai doesn’t make the cut.

  1. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Morricone.
  2. Once Upon a Time in the West. Morricone.
  3. A Fistful of Dollars. Morricone.
  4. Django. Bacalov.
  5. Cemetery Without Crosses. Hossein.
  6. Navajo Joe. Morricone.
  7. They Call Me Trinity. Micalizzi.
  8. Sabata. Giombini.
  9. Blindman. Cipriani.
  10. Forgotten Pistolero. Pregadio.

Still one hour to midnight!

Past midnight. No more nominations neither for El Puro, nor for Nora. Just an offer to get a Russian girlfriend for free.

Howdy. Here is my list…

  1. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
  2. Once Upon a Time in the West
  3. The Big Gundown
  4. Matalo!
  5. Hellbenders
  6. Death RIdes a Horse
  7. Return of Ringo
  8. Duck, You Sucker!
  9. For a Few Dollars More
  10. Payment in Blood

It’s hardly fair comparing one years miserable round of Oscar nomninations with 20 years of lets be honest fantastic spaghetti western music

I will tally up tonight and then create a poll. Announcement to follow. Until then some chance for last minute nominations…

I don’t care as much for the scores as others do here, but if you want another recommendation for El puro, you got it.

The best scores are those from Morricone, those he made for Leone (including Nobody as always), and the ones he made for Corbucci’s best (Silenze, Mercenary, Companeros ans also Navajo Joe).

I also like Cipriani very much, especially Bounty Killer, They Call Me Halleluja and Blindman

And some of the Rustichelli stuff, especially God Forgives and Boot Hill (which everybody here hates) and A Minute to Pray

I know I’m very late to the game (quite possibly too late), so I’ll just leave these six here - if anything for just to voice my opinion:

  1. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
  2. They Call Me Trinity
  3. Django
  4. Django Prepare a Coffin
  5. Django the Bastard (a stretch, I know)
  6. Texas, Addio

These are all great scores.

indeed they are. I hope I manage to tally all the scores by tonight and build the poll, I will then make an announcement for the voting period
