Over the holidays I’ve watched…
Reverend Colt
Vengeance is a Colt 45/Son of Django
A Professional Gun
Navajo Joe
Great Silence
The Stranger’s Gundown
The Hellbenders
I think you would have a good time with it, Seb. Its one of those that pleasantly exceeds its low rep / low expectations (not to say its amazing). The Morricone score is very catchy too. Put it at the top of your viewing list!
well I am waiting for a proper BluRay of this, otherwise I’d just go in pissed about the quality
The Wild East one is not too bad honestly, but yes of course that would be nice. Trouble is you never know how long it will take for these films to see a good release like that.
Gotcha
Saw in new years with
The Good The Bad and the Ugly… Only trouble is I won’t see a better flik in 2023…
Only watched the version on YouTube twice now… Ebay has it for about £20, so I will eventually pick it up…its a vastly underrated Corbucci flik… Milian is a bit of a d#ck in it… But Susan George is wonderous… And Telly Savalas truly brilliant in it, and the real hero of the movie
I do indeed. It’s great to see it get more love here in recent years. The first time I saw it I genuinely thought I had seen not just one of the best spaghettis, but one of the best westerns I’d ever seen. I felt so alone in that opinion but as of recently that seems to be changing a bit which is awesome.
I knew it was a favourite of yours. Nice to see you back, btw, after a little break.
Thanks man. I’ve barely stopped for the last couple of months. Got a week and a half off work now though
I watched Death Rides a Horse for the first time in several years! It’s definitely one of my faves but I was always an LVC fan.
Watched Five Giants From Texas on the flight to Varadero for holiday yesterday
Haven’t posted here in forever (I’m just a registered lurker I guess

My Little Buckeroo (1938) - 6/10
Porky’s Phoney Express - 5/10
Western (1990) - 6/10 [Short Hungarian animated Western Comedy, maybe worth adding to the database? What do you all think?]
Hannie Caulder - 6/10
Injun Trouble (1938) - 6/10
The Harder They Fall (2021) - 6/10
If it’s a western and european then for sure
The speculation over the new Arrow Spag set has put in me in Spag mood so I’ve rewatched Django today on the beautiful Arrow blu ray, and now I’m sat down to rewatch Companeros with a big slice of raspberry ripple cake
Finally got around to my Blue Underground dvd release of Fulci’s Four of the Apocalypse
I hope you brought enough for everyone.
Last Train from Gun Hill - Underrated classic, and my favorite Anthony Quinn film.
Might revisit some Randolph Scott films soon.
Absolutely love Last Train to Gun Hill…gorgeous blu-ray too. I just did a back to back with that and Guns for San Sebastian in December!
