The Belle Starr Story / Il mio corpo per un poker (Lina Wertmüller, 1968)

Forgot to mention but the Wild East print is 96m45s. The longer You Tube one is 99m56s. Both prints run the same speed and appear to be NTSC. As in earlier post the Wild East print is missing some insubstantial few minutes cut off existing scenes and re-edited in at least one case…

I have seen reports of a 103m but these don’t seem to be substantiated. The Rewind DVD site has 99m for both versions on the Raro Blu Ray.

Having watched the Eastman interview on the Wild East DVD I revisited the scene in which Robert Woods is killed and I reckon they used a body double for Woods as his face is never shown clearly.

For those of you interested this film is being screened tomorrow (Wednesday 12th) on the UK Talking Pictures Cable Channel. Probably, its first ever UK screening in any format. No idea what version.

Talking Pictures, the best TV station in the UK, has screened several Italian westerns in recent months including It Can be Done Amigo (1972).
