American director Richard C. Sarafian died September 18, 2013 in Santa Monica, California. He was 83. Sarafian died of pneumonia brought on by a fall at his home last week. Richard is known for his film Vanishing Point but also directed one Euro-western Man in the Wilderness wit Richard Haris and John Huston.

Damn, I’ve recently viewed Vanishing Point. Pity that so many cinematic figures have passed away recently.

RIP. Vanishing Point is awesome film, I saw it just few weeks ago for the first time.
Vanishing Point has popped randomly into my head several times in the last weeks… think I’ll give it a viewing.
