Legendary producer Dino De Laurentiis has died at the age of 91. De Laurentiis, whose career in cinema spanned more than 70 years and 160 movies, passed away in Los Angeles, according to Italian media reports.

I saw this when I was on imdb this morning…if I recall correctly from the interview on the BU Django DVD that this was the guy who discovered Franco Nero. I may be wrong but I recognized the name from that interview with Nero.
