Very helpfull, only I don’t own the french DVD (borrowed it) and don’t remember if there were more leaves dropped.
According to the french site DVDrama the disc runs 88 mns, which is a bit strange since contains both a french and (alledgedly original) italian audio track. According to DVDit the Italian DVD runs 95 mns, which comes closer to the 99 IMdb mns. Anyway, to cut 4 mins of prairie flowers would be rude and unforgivable.
And just to prove my point - I was watching Apache Woman (1976) last night on a pre-cert ‘Entertainment in Video’ vhs, when I noticed a possible ‘jump’. I checked another copy of the same film on dvd-r (but still an ‘EiV’ print) and this had 2 extra minutes in it. Altho’ there was some nudity in this cut piece, there was also a very tender (and important) snog. And it wasn’t cut out just for the nudity because there’s far stronger elsewhere in film. So - even the same manufacturers have got different versions out there … so check those nudie bits for ‘jumps’. Al Cliver did and didn’t miss his with Yara Kewa!

Problem is - most of the nudity occurs when she’s in some kind of distress … being chased or worse (being caught). So its all a bit dubious posting that. In the context of the film I DON’T think the nudity is gratuitous, and the sexual violence that occurs is the sort of stuff we might expect from a gritty sw. and portrays the west as it was. There is not the eroticism you might understand there to be, say, if you’d read Weisser’s “…strong dose of 70s softcore sexuality.” Altho’ there are a couple of more tender scenes, I won’t take these out of the context of, what is overall, a quite brutal film :'(.
I don’t have a problem posting deliberately ‘gratuitous’ 70s sleazy sexploitation stuff - it goes with the territory, but I give this one a swerve.

9 pages is just too much to check so excuse me if somebody mentioned it before. Rosanna Yanni shows one breast (right one think) in J. & S. just a few seconds… saw it years ago but don’t forget it!!

maybe the spaghetti western database should have some sort of “censorship watch” page, where we have a huge checklist for all dvd releases if they are cut and so on and so forth. that would be a tremendous task, but one we could just start bit by bit, with the help of pages such as schnittberichte.com ( a website that does comparisons of versions) or others…

Anybody knows this film? The Scavengers (1969) By the plot it´s just like a guerrilla band, with sexual abuse in order of the day. Better poster can be saw on www.moviegoods.com

This is in reply to Jonah Hex’s query about Guns and Guts (mexi-western from Rene Cardona) - but is also relevant to Bill San Antonio’s satan-spawned quest for nudity. I’ve got this on a Dutch vid. (Engish-dubbed and Dutch subs) as God, Guns and Guts. Its a good film, just about balancing the so-so humour and typical cliched fist fights with a good helping of brutal and moody violence. Unfortunately the Devil’s hand has been at work on this one as well and there is a fair amount of nudity. God forgive me if I try to explain. If I remember correctly, tho I hardly dare to look - there is a scene where a ‘dancing girl’ undresses in the private company of a man. Luckily for him, the good Lord strikes him down into a deep sleep and he is spared the filthy spectacle of her nakedity. Unfortunately - we are not - and have to endure her stripping down to a full-frontal full bush - 70’s style. Beware my brothers and sisters - BEWARE.
I have tried to wipe the vision away - but there is also a game of strip-poker - betwixt our hero and 3 more saloon-girls that leads to more topless behavior. Just as they are to lose the rest , the good Lord rescues them with 4 kings and an ace. Their undergarments and their blushes are saved - God be praised!
The above stuff was written a while ago, since then I’ve found the dvd of this as GUNS and GUTS.
There was some argument whether there was any link at all to Italy, and Seb’s view was that this Mexi-western could have it’s database entry removed if a good reason for including it couldn’t be found - which may have been done cos I couldn’t find it just now.
Anyway, as a suitable postscript, and to put pictures to the above words may I illuminate this article with a few choice illustrations …?
If anybody objects to the inclusion of pictures from another mexi-western on this thread please say and I’ll remove the offending items … otherwise
