A short reaction from one or two of my friends here, would be much appreciated

I haven’t seen this film :o … but this review makes me want to watch it.
The references to OUATITW and people living outside of their time particularly intrigue me (of course) - so it presses my buttons, and has drawn an old confirmed spaghetti-head like me in.
Great review (we’d expect nowt else now though scherp). Well done.

(Edit: I’ve said my bit on the site.)

Yes, a great review and no less than we expect from you Scherp.

Get yourself a copy this instant Reverend! The holes in your cultural education astound me sometimes :o It’s the Northants school system I blame.

Yep, there are more holes in my cultural education than there are in all the folk in the final shootout at the end of The Wild Bunch - there you are, a reference to an American western I’ve seen!! (I’ve also seen Yellow Sky, and Quick-Draw McGraw … so :stuck_out_tongue: ;))
Anyway - will do, Phil.

I’ve not seen it myself, i find John Wayne films hard to watch, and yes i know, apparently i should watch The Searchers.

Great review, Scherpschutter

Well, what a dumb title I kept of this thread. Of course every one who is here and reading this loves western movies.
My question should have been “Who loves western movies so much that he/she can write about them?”

…And if you can you have a bright future. check on this cool contest on western movies http://www.most-wanted-western-movies.com/western-movie-reviews.htmlhttp://www.most-wanted-western-movies.com/western-movie-reviews.html....write a review and who know you can win $100/DVD sets of rare western movies and a title Cowboy of The Month…Isn’t it great folks?

…So what are you waiting for gringo ?

I’m not the greatest fan of " the man who shot liberty valance"and it’s not up with the best of john wayne films in my opinon although having said that it’s not that bad, but merely ok.however i diverse from the point, scherpschutter’s review is very good and i found myself agreeing with his points more than disagreeing.good work

Am i getting deja vu?

Do you ever get a strange feeling that you’ve had deja vu before?

Yes Yod just what I thought.

Well, this is the correct place for this thread anyway. It doesn’t belong in the Spaghetti Western board. That’s supposed to be for discussing particular films.

But who knows. Maybe it will pop up somewhere else too?

No Phil, it won’t popup anywhere else. Initially I didn’t realize what is the right thread for this topic.
