Internet mention:

“Spy Vibers might be interested in this collection of James Bond themes played on electric guitar. We’ve seen many surf versions out there, but this approach by Lou Pecci has a pleasant vibe. Could be great for your next mellow gathering of secret agents at your lair! Songs cover the period between Dr. No and Diamonds Are Forever. Pecci has also released two volumes of Spaghetti Western themes.”

Another internet mention:

New covers CD “James Bond on Electric Guitar”

Lou Pecci has just released an album of James Bond music with a difference. In “James Bond on Electric Guitar” (11 John Barry compositions and 1 original tune), all the tracks are played on the guitar. Furthermore they are not restricted to the usual title themes and songs:

James Bond Theme (“Dr.No”)
007 (“From Russia With Love”)
Into Miami (“Goldfinger”)
Goldfinger - Instrumental Version
Switching the Body (“Thunderball”)
Death of Fiona (“Thunderball”)
The Wedding (“You Only Live Twice”)
On Her Majesty’s Secret Service - Main Title
We Have All the Time in the World (“On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”)
Diamonds Are Forever - Main Title
Tiffany Case (“Diamonds Are Forever”)
The Black Path - L. Pecci

You can find more details at various Amazon sites around the world, and it’s also available via iTunes.

Review from Indie Music Reviews:

Lou Pecci puts his guitar take on James Bond classics on his album “James Bond On Electric Guitar”. First there’s the obvious theme song which is identifiable. Pecci isn’t making these songs into something you won’t know, he’s just putting his spin on them from “Into Miami” from Goldfinger to “Death of Fiona” from Thunderball and right back to You Only Live Twice’s “The Wedding,” all of Pecci’s renditions stay close to the originals but still have an originality to them. If you’re a guitar fanatic or just a James Bond one, this is a must have record. (http://www.cdbaby.com/Artist/LouPecci)

On Her Majesty's Secret Service - Main Title

One of my all-time favorites from the series. I’d like to hear this album just to listen to your take on it.

Hi Marvin

I know what you mean…that’s a great tune, one of my favorites…if it’s only the one song you’d like to hear, it’s on iTunes for a buck or so…

Thanks!
Lou

Thanks, but do believe I’d rather splurge for the entire album. The entire project has me intrigued.

That’s cool, thanks…let me know what you think if you end up getting it…

Will do, bro!

Vintage Guitar Magazine CD review - July issue out in May 2014:

Lou Pecci
James Bond On Electric Guitar

Following two excellent volumes of spaghetti western themes, Lou Pecci shows he’s as comfortable with John Barry compositions as with Ennio Morricone’s, and as deft on overdubbed electrics as previously on gut-strings. His own “Black Path” would make Vic Flick, the late Bond guitarist, smile. No doubt, whatever genre he tackles next will be equally fun and creative. – Dan Forte - “© Dan Forte; all rights reserved.
