I Just Bought … (Non-SW Shopping Diary)

Just ordered:

Just got these:

Five Giants From Texas. I was curious to see this one and it hasn’t been given a DVD release yet. It’s a pity the cover is torn at the top. The artwork is really nice.

Savage Guns is His Name Was Sam Walbash under a different title.

Treasure of the Aztecs and Ride and Kill haven’t been released on DVD in English, either.

I was after Kid and the Killers for a while, so I decided to purchase this DVD from amazon. I’m a bit disappointed since it appears to be a bootleg release. I didn’t think amazon would sell bootlegs but I don’t think I’ll return it since it’s quite hard to find.

Interesting selection

Just realised this is the non-SW shopping diary.

Recent additions to my collection from birthday and Christmas have included:

Avengers: Age of Ultron Blu-Ray
Ant-Man Blu-Ray
Patton
Das Boot

6 months after I preordered it it was finally released so today received Arrows release of Argento’s Deep Red (2BD+CD)

I got this fantastic giallo for my birthday:

I also bought a bunch of cheap martial arts films from CEX recently. I laughed when I found this one:

CEX are engaged in some Brucesploitation themselves. They’ve deliberately put a sticker over “Li” to make people think it’s a Bruce Lee film.

I might get Arrow’s release of Deep Red myself.

The limited edition was sold out more or less before publication but they are bringing out a regular edition (minus the soundtrack and booklet I gather) later.

Happy Birthday by the way

Was on the 10th, so more than a few days ago but thank you.

Beyond-media.at (EUR 39,84)

New DVD:

More horror on blu-ray for me turned up today:

Pieces (Grindhouse Releasing, 2BR+CD+Puzzle, yeah)
Axe/Kidnapped Coed (Severin, BR+CD)
Nightmare Castle (Severin)

The Arrow blu-ray steelbook of Audition (Takashi, 1999) which I pre-ordered in November arrived today. I don’t recall ever sitting down with the wife to watch Audition before so I’m looking forward to introducing her to it later on this evening.
