Django is a much better ilm than Hang 'Em High. So I guess the only reason a woman would like to see Hang 'Em High and not Django is Clint…
In the last week I managed to get my girlfriend to watch GBU, Fistful of Dynamte, Reverend Colt and I Want Him Dead. The other night she said she enjoyed them, but for a change could we just watch some TV? So I switched on the TV and guess what’s on? Sabata!!!
I went looking for spaghetti western locations in Almeria with one of my friends and his girlfriend joined in the hunt, she loved every minute of it!
A little off topic here but does anyone have a rough idea of just how many female members there actually are on this forum?
Statistics of the board says: Male to Female Ratio:14.2:1
That many? So where are they?
I AM a woman, and I love them… my boyfriend likes them too.
Finally! Another girl! Hello to you! And yeah, i love 'em…but the other half…definitely doesn’t! ![]()
I knew this girl and she would never watch a western when i tried to get her to, i even told her how beautiful “Once upon a time in the west” was to watch, but would she watch it, Hell no!
Funny thing is she hired Brokeback fucking mountain! would i watch it… would i fuck!

Brokeback Mountain? Not sure what this one is… Is it a really bad film then? ???

Well Sir, very wise words, and I cannot argue with them one bit!
OK…i had to go look this one up…and i have to say it really doesn’t sound like my cup of tea either
My girlfriend says she does not like violent movies that much. I am planning on showing once upon a time in the west to her though. Another problem might be the way women are treated in most spaghettis. i am thinking about the rape scene in giu la testa for example, dont think it would be godd to start with this movie.
In general i see that those films just dont appeal to everybody as much as they do to us. Most of my male friends are like: ohh what you ordered another one of them, and i am not even hardcore as i am still in the way of collecting the top 20.
Brokeback is not a real western from what i heard, but if i get the chance i will watch it. if i did i will tell you how it is. peace
I haven’t seen Brokeback Mountain… I don’t like the two actors in there - they aren’t pretty nice bishounens. ;D What to see on them then?
I don’t understand the workings of the female mind. Here are my girlfriends opinions of the few SW’s I’ve got her to watch:
Reverend Colt - Great film.
The Mercenary - Silly.
I Want Him Dead - Not bad.
Cjamango - Rubbish.
Duck You Sucker - OK
GBU - Good but too long.
I suppose next she’ll declare OUATITW crap and Adios Companeros the best film ever made!
Ha ha ha
I love that.
Well I don’t know about girlfriends but my wife just reconfirmed her place as the woman of my dreams by giving me the thumbs up to go to Venice for the Biennale and Spaghetti Western retrospective. God, I love that woman!

Fair call. But the thing is she won’t be coming. She will be looking after the kids while I go and enjoy 3 days of Spaghetti heaven.
Like I said, God I love that woman.
