Letās hope someone throws them out on blu-ray also at one point. Artusās releases are as always not English-friendly sadly.
Just tell Wild East to steal the transfers and add an English dub!
LOL. Oneās already out by Koch Media in an English friendly version and Wild East already put out the other so they are far ahead of you
In this case, Iām referring exclusively to the possibility of Blu-ray releases. I didnāt bother buying the Koch disc of Shoot Gringo, Shoot! since I prefer to watch it with the English dub. The transfer in the Best of Spaghetti Westerns (I assume it was taken from the Japanese disc) is adequate for me but I would definitely buy a Blu-ray.
Looking forward to both of these; usually Artus will release some titles strictly on DVD or do the Blu Ray/DVD combo Mediabooks. Their most recent editions to their Peplum line were DVD Digipacks, but anythingās possible. Will be glad when COVID-19 is under control so I can start buying from overseas again.
makesthemovie: I just learned from Artus that no blu ray version will be made because the fans (the ones from France) only want their western on dvds. Artus recieved a lot of complains over the price of their bluray/dvd combo so⦠yeah⦠very disapointing⦠just buy the Koch media dvds instead.
wow, how dumb
That is disappointing that they wonāt be doing Blu Rays of the Westerns, but itās still nice theyāre putting the films out either way. I looked up the Koch Media versions, and those third party sellers are asking a little much, even for a used one.
I would make an April fools joke about Arrow releasing El Puro or something. But thatād be cruel
Soul Media has released Buddy Goes West on blu-ray. Very probably with the English dub:
Didnāt think Buddy Goes West was as bad as some people said. Iāll probably get it if the price is reasonable.
also Troublemakers. Adding it all to the database now
Troublemakers is great fun! The only mistake Hill & Spencer made was making them different characters to Trinity and Bambino. Iāve always considered it to be a third Trinity. It should have been a trilogy.
FYI: The German blu-ray release of Occhio alla penna is also missing from the db:

fixed, thanks!
The Specialists has been shipped from Eureka
I ordered mine from Amazon, so itāll be shipped a little later, I guess.
I have also got my copy of āThe Specialistsā pre-ordered with āAmazonā, which has a release date of May 25th, instead of the 18th.
I contacted āEurekaā about the discrepancy in release dates, and received this replyā¦
āThanks for your email. Unfortunately Amazon will get their stock a day or so late to meet the cut off for releases on 18 May, which is why we have shifted the date back by a week, to the 25th May.
But this is for Amazon only. The item is in stock in our warehouse, and will be shipping out for the 18 May. So all orders placed through the Eureka! store (and elsewhere) should be unaffected by this.ā
As long as we actually get our discs, Iām not worried! Curious to see if it contains the full English dub though
According to the āAmazonā disc specifications, for āThe Specialistsā, it does include a ārarely heard English dub trackā.
Letās hope this info is correctā¦
