but why any sartana movie can’t go to the alternative 20 list??

At the moment, if I would compile now the next update, If You Meet Sartana has occupied the # 20 position. With The Return of Ringo close behind, and Blindman and Sabata meanwhile even a few steps behind.
And # 20 will most likely be the only position which will change again in further lists. So maybe we should include none of them, or all 4 to have the same basis for the future voters.

This #20 spot is always an issue in this way so I think your suggestion of allowing the next 4 (maybe 5) makes sense. I will then keep all votes for those films on file and they can renew their place in the Alternative list as and when they fall out of the Official one.

OK, so after some consideration I’m adjusting the voting system to include anything that falls outside the official Top 19. This is to allow for the fact that the #20 spot tends to fluctuate amongst a few titles but that, above that place, most are pretty safe not to drop out for the foreseeable future. I will then adjust the Alternate Top 20 based on what is actually in the Official Top 20 at any given time.

I’m updating the rules on the Alternative Top 20 page to show this new system.

Funny, my original alternative top 20 does include Sabata. I think at the time you first started the alternative top 20, Sabata had been recently qualified by having been ousted from the real top 20.

A good list but three of your picks are not eligible for the Alternative Top 20 because they already appear in the Official Top 20. Can you select three more in place of:

The Mercenary
The Big Gundown
Django Kill!

You can choose films from your own top 20, just not the official one. And in fact we now allow votes for anything outside the top 19 because the bottom place changes somewhat so Return of Ringo is currently acceptable too.

yeah, I’m definitely in the minority on this one, but I have never been able to really get into this movie. There are several scenes that to me seem to drag the movie down…and I’ll admit that Milian really irritates me in most of his movies so that may also be a reason why I have most of the Milian movies ranked low.
