It’s seems he saw a UFO when he was shooting Il mercenario in Spain
That’s right El Topo, but I think he makes a mistake. I’ve heard the story before, and seen photos, but I think it was Vamos a Matar Companeros.

It seems there two sightings during both films, one in Companeros in the last scene filmed in Almeria that we see in the pictures, and another during The mercenary, in a region near MAdrid in the moutains north of of the city, I can’t understand well Sherp, but it seems that in this last case the UFO was reflected in Jack Palance head (testa) UAU.
