It would be necessary to make a better dub for the new scenes. It is possible to alter the voices so that they sound closer to the original.
In the early 90s German TV did this to the long version of Viscontiās Ludwig, and it was nearly perfect.

Iāve heard that the picture quality on the Italian DVDs is closer to the original. Can anyone verify this? Also, isnāt there any fandubs with the English mono audio available? If there is, someone please help me get one!
And in my opinion, Iām glad the āStory of a Soldierā scene was cut by a couple of minutes. I think it went on just long enough, to keep the audience interested and not cause apathy.
