[DVD] Latest and Upcoming Releases

I know ::slight_smile: When I first saw that I just groaned, realizing that there are plenty of people who will see Django Unchained and then watch Django and think, “Hey, isn’t Django supposed to be black?” ;D

If I’m not mistaken that Tagline comes from Django the Bastard! At first glance I thought it was the Anthony Steffen film.

The Tramplers is available to pre-order from Wild East’s site now.

Hooray!

Spanish Django releases.

According to the site they have English subs, I ordered Django the Bastard, will report back upon arrival.

Got my copy, it only has Italian and Spanish viewing possibilities, both in audio and subs. >:(

Blood at Sundown (Steffen’s first leading part) is getting a Japanese release (http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B00B7R0CGM/ref=pe_2192_44653692_snp_dt1)

Fingers crossed for an English friendly disc.

Isn’t that Why Go on Killing?

Yes, ‘Blood at Sundown’ and ‘Why Go on Killing?’ is the same film.

I never knew that, but think Bill may have been referring to this Blood at Sundown:

Of course they´re not the same film.

The Italian title on the DVD is of this one: Perché uccidi ancora? - The Spaghetti Western Database

The most used English title is Why Go on Killing?, a direct translation from the original. And it is Steffen’s first lead in a SW.

There is indeed Blood at Sundown as an English title listed. Never heard that before. Anybody knows if such a title exists for this film? Or it is just another database error?

*Another* database error? I thought such things didn’t exist ;D?

Unfortunately there are still a lot. Due to the usual SW data chaos.

I would blame this on Weisser. He has the film listed in his book under this title.
However, Giusti also has it listed with a U.S. title of Sartana, Blood at Sundown so maybe it really was released as such there. It’s also possible, of course, that misinformation just got spread around.

Can any of our American cousins throw some light on this?

Sartana and Blood at Sundown are both titles for Mille dollari sul Nero. Smells indeed like misinformation.

(This Weisser guy should really be tarred and feathered)

Speaking of chaos…

I have always thought Blood at Sundown is a too generic title!

Whoah, that is truly strange. How many films were re-titled Blood at Sundown in the States?

To many.

I just went with the title IMDb gave me.
