Compared to other Italian genre films (Giallo, crime etc), sw's doesn't have that much nudity. Mainly just in some of the late spaghettis from 70's like 4 of the Apocalypse or China 9, Liberty 37 (I haven't seen it uncut but it should have lots of nude scenes, my version had none).

Blindman is probably the most famous sw for having lots of nudity. Also Corbucci's The Specialist comes to my mind.
Any others ?

Off the top of my head Black Jack, Dead Men Ride, Execution, This Man Can't Die, Fast Hand is Still My Name, Cut Throats Nine have a bit of nudity in them.

Yeah and Croccolo's other western does too. Can't remember what it's called though. I think it's ONE PISTOL, ONE HUNDRED GRAVES.

I haven't seen all the films you are talking about, but do you mean semi-naked women or men showing their naked chest or something?

Two different things in my opinion.

Then there seems to be a few spaghettis with nude women after all, I didn't think there were that many.

And often there are not many female characters in these films to begin with.

As far as I remember Man Called Amen contains some semi-nude scene(s) (breasts!).......

Joe, Find a Place to Die has several nude scenes. It has strong erotic overtones, but is otherwise not remarkable.
There is also much nudity in Apache Woman and a bit in Scalps, both are cheap variations of (the mediocre) Soldier Blue.
One of the most erotic scenes is in The Grat Silence.

But it is still a (great) moment of nudity. I, for one, am very, very grateful for that moment. Iris Berben is, in my opinion, the most gorgeous woman to ever appear in a spaghetti western (and she plays a really intriguing character, as well.)

Yeah. I kinda felt at home here... I thought to myself, "Hm, I wonder if they'll mention any moments of nudity that I'm not aware of..." And, of course, once reading it, I felt that I just had to reply to the Companeros post (it's one of my favorites of this genre and, as I said earlier, has my favorite female lead of any spaghetti western. Nothing in the SW's really sprang to mind for this thread. I have seen nudity in them, but the shots usually murky or grainy. To me, it's a fairly sterile genre.

That's true. Gialli and crime films for example have lots of gratifying nudity but westerns of the same period have almost none.

To me, what's more controversial than nudity in spaghetti films is Leone's really revolutionary use of marijuana smoking. I'm surprised more people don't mention this and discuss it, especially in For A Few Dollars More. El Indio is not only a paranoid, jealous, sadistic killer, he's a doper!

Sort of surprised it didn't get more criticism in the United States.
